Professor of Innovative Materials for Energy
École Supérieure de Physique et de Chimie Industrielles
Annie Colin graduated from the École Normale Supérieure de Lyon, Lyon, France, in 1991, and earned the Ph.D. in physico-chemistry from the University of Paris VI France, in 1994. She was a CNRS Research Fellow from 1994 to 2005, in Bordeaux, working on soft matter (foams and emulsions) and then, after 2006, Professor of Chemistry with the University of Bordeaux, working on microfluidics. She was in charge of a joined team between Solvay, CNRS and University of Bordeaux. She is currently a Professor with the École Supérieure de Physiques et de Chimie Industrielle, ESPCI Paris, France. Her research interests are in the areas of rheology, materials, and energy harvesting.
Her talk will deal with shear thickening, forces measurements and instability of flows in line with her recent papers.
